Dena Potter

Dena Potter is a Senior Manager of Communications at Altria, where they develop and maintain media relationships to support the company's vision. Previously, they served as the Director of Communications for the Virginia Department of General Services from 2014 to 2025, overseeing both internal and external communications. Dena has also held roles such as a Consultant for Pike County Child Development and a News Editor and Newswoman at The Associated Press. They hold a Master’s Degree in Strategic Public Relations from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University.
