Matthew Walsh

Matthew Walsh, CISSP, currently serves as the Business Information Security Officer at Altria since May 2023, focusing on designing security-aware strategies and collaborating across departments to integrate security, privacy, and compliance measures into business processes. Prior to Altria, Matthew was a Senior Information Security Analyst at Prelude Services from January 2020 to April 2023, leading security-related projects, developing policies, and mentoring junior team members. Matthew's career began as a Network/Security Engineer at York College of Pennsylvania from January 2017 to January 2020, where responsibilities included administering network security technologies and developing security policies. Additionally, Matthew worked as a Disability Claims Adjudicator at the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry from November 2009 to January 2017, ensuring compliance with regulations while mentoring trainees. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Information Security from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania.
