Werner Kapp

Group Chief Executive at Altron

Werner Kapp is a globally recognised leader in digital transformation and is known for championing employee experience as a critical element in serving customers in a digitised world.

He was previously the CEO of Dimension Data Middle East and Africa and was with the company for 22 years in which time he oversaw the globalisation ambitions of parent company NTT.

Werner started in the IT industry in the mid-1990s and joined Dimension Data in 2000, in its services division. As Dimension Data’s Regional Executive for the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, and Gauteng regions, he led the best performing regions for the company. He became Chief Operating Officer for Dimension Data with responsibility for crafting and executing the company’s Middle East and Africa strategy.

Over that time and in these roles, he gained vast experience in client, revenue and people management.

Werner is passionate about the impact technology can have on economic and social growth in South Africa and beyond. He enjoys working in diverse teams and cultures and strongly believes in corporate citizenship.

Werner holds a law degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the UNISA School of Business. He has a global leadership development certification from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
