Altru Drama is a creative education organisation with 18 years’ experience in delivering drama performances, workshops and projects with and for children and young people. The company was founded by Kate Cotterell, a former teacher, and, as such, learning sits at the heart of the organisation. 
 
We’re a non-profit organisation that exists to provide creative experiences which support learning and development.  Our aim is to offer all children and young people the opportunity to learn in new, exciting and creative ways.  We want our projects to inspire and motivate young people to engage in their own development, take ownership of their choices, explore their purpose as individuals and build confidence and self-esteem which lead to increased social mobility. 

We passionately believe in the value of drama and the arts as tools which can help children and young people to develop their knowledge and skills, as well as help them find and use their voices, express their opinions, develop their world view, and make positive and healthy choices.   

We offer relevant, engaging, change-making workshops and performances which ignite curiosity, enable children and young people to be better learners and give them the tools to express themselves and to imagine a range of different futures and outcomes.

Our work is always developed with the young people it is designed for, through research and development workshops and try and test sessions.  Feedback from children, young people and teachers is at the heart of our creation and design.
