Christian Downs

Christian Downs has worked in the software engineering industry since 2000. Christian began their career as a Technical Support Engineer at Websense, where they were then promoted to Software QA Engineer in the same company. During their time as a Software QA Engineer, they designed and conducted the first Websense Appliance unit testing, wrote and maintained 11 engineering working guides, and led several cross team trainings. In 2007, they were promoted to Senior Software QA Engineer, where they lead a global initiative to develop Python-based automated testing against the Websense Category Engine API. Christian also acted as an Escalated Issues contact, coordinating resources and assigning issues to appropriate engineers. In 2015, Christian joined Milestone Systems as a Senior Test Engineer. Most recently, Christian has been working as a Software QA Engineer (Agile Team) at AltSource, Inc since 2019.

Christian Downs began their educational journey in 1991 when they attended Berklee College of Music and obtained a Performance Major. Seven years later, in 1998, they earned a Certificate in Computer Applications and Networks from Coleman College. In 2006, they furthered their education by obtaining an Intermediate Chinese Language Certificate from the University of International Relations in Beijing.
