Ryan Schmich's work experience begins in 2015 as a Research Associate at the University of Central Florida. Here, they quantify sucralose concentration in surface water samples using HPLC-TOF-MS and develops an HPLC-UV method for analyzing various compounds in surface water samples. Ryan progresses to become a Scientist I, where they develop and validates bioanalytical HPLC-MS/MS methods for single and multi-analyte assays. Ryan prepares samples for pharmacokinetic, toxicokinetic, and antibody drug conjugate studies and performs basic instrument maintenance and repair.
As a Scientist II, Ryan further develops and validates bioanalytical HPLC-MS/MS methods for complex compounds and multi-analyte assays. Ryan mentors laboratory personnel and performs intermediate instrument maintenance and repair.
In their most recent role as a Scientist III and Principal Scientist, Ryan develops and validates complex, multi-analyte, and chiral LC-MS/MS assays to support GxP studies. Ryan authors test methods, optimizes laboratory procedures, and prepares samples for various studies.
Overall, Ryan's experience includes method development, validation, sample preparation, and instrument maintenance in the field of bioanalytical sciences.
Ryan Schmich attended the University of Central Florida from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry. Ryan also obtained a certification in "PHA6432 Fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Chemistry" from Canvas Credentials (Badgr).
