Ken Colborne has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Ken started their career with Chassis Corp, a subsidiary of SMW Automotive, where they served as a Plant Manager. Ken was responsible for designing assembly equipment and importing it to Canada. In 2008, they joined SMW Automotive as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they imported assembly equipment from Canada to the US. Ken later became a Plant Manager, overseeing the launch and PPAP of four new product lines. Ken also worked as a Corporate Quality - Launch Support Engineer, addressing packaging and logistics issues. In 2012, they became the Quality Manager, leading initiatives to reduce supplier PPM and improve detection methods. In 2014, SMW Automotive merged with DMI to form Chassix, where Ken became an Automation Team Leader. Ken led a team responsible for automated machining and assembly systems. In 2021, they joined Aludyne as the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, where they developed global manufacturing strategy, established processes, and mentored technical resources.
Ken Colborne attended Lambton College from 1996 to 2000, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering and obtained a degree in Technologist. From 2005 to 2007, they furthered their education at Western University, majoring in Business Administration and Management. No degree was mentioned for this time period.
