Anthony Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Anthony started their career in 1999 as a Software Developer/Team Leader at Aircom International. From there, they worked as a Project Manager/Lead Developer at Altek Technologies Limited in 2000.
In 2001, they joined G2 Integrated Solutions as a Software Developer where they focused on internet-based payment processing system development. At BT Global Services from 2006 to 2009, Anthony worked as a Software Developer on a contract basis.
Anthony then joined the Health Protection Agency in 2009 as an Analyst Programmer, where they were responsible for developing a data warehouse application and a web site for reporting.
In 2010, Anthony worked as a Trading Systems Analyst/Developer at Magnetar Capital, where they developed and maintained a C++/Linux real-time trading system.
From 2011 to 2015, they worked at the National Institute for Health Research as an Information Systems Manager, overseeing databases and systems for tracking and reporting on disease research in England.
Since 2017, they have been the Owner/Developer at straq. Anthony held positions as Chief Technology Officer at Alvius in 2019 and Feisty from 2019 to 2022, where they also served as a Senior Full Stack Developer.
Anthony Jones attended Nottingham Trent University from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a degree in Computing Systems and graduated with a 2.2. Before that, from 1989 to 1993, they completed a MoD Apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency. Prior to their apprenticeship, from 1985 to 1989, they attended Cleeve Park School, although the degree and field of study for this period are unknown.
