Mark Gallagher is an accomplished Senior Scientist with extensive experience in biopharmaceutical development and analytical research. Currently at Alvotech since June 2025, Mark leads formulation product development for biosimilars and manages technical transfers across multidisciplinary teams. Previous roles include Senior Scientist positions at Xbrane Biopharma AB, focusing on biosimilar product support, and at Arecor Therapeutics, where Mark was involved in the reformulation of market-available biopharmaceuticals. Earlier experience at Lonza included protein characterization for clinical and commercial material, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cellular & Molecular Immunology Research Centre studying extracellular vesicles. Mark's academic credentials comprise a PhD in Cell Biology from Dublin and a Bio-Analysis and Biotechnology degree from Limerick Institute of Technology.
