Javier Luque

Javier Luque is the Head of Financial Risk Management at Amadeus IT, where they manage the group’s currency and interest rate exposures and oversee various financing activities. Previously, Javier held positions as Risk Assistant Manager at Santander Gestión, where they created valuation and reporting procedures, and worked in Global Middle Management at Banco Santander, analyzing treasuries and preparing reports for senior executives. They also served as an Associate Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, teaching courses on the Spanish Financial System. With extensive experience in financial risk management across multiple sectors, Javier has developed a strong expertise in IFRS accounting and derivative instruments.
