Raphael Hoetmer

Raphael Hoetmer is a specialist in participatory processes of strategy and campaign design, organizational change, and research, with over twenty years of experience in human rights, social, and environmental justice. Currently serving as the Western Amazon Program Director at Amazon Watch, Raphael has collaborated with various organizations, including Amnesty International and NYU, to enhance strategies and facilitate meaningful dialogues. Having held positions as a professor and advisor, Raphael has guided grassroots and international organizations in their internal change processes and capacity-building efforts. Their diverse methodologies and commitment to collaboration reflect a strong belief in the power of collective action to drive social transformation.
