Alex Romero is currently the Head of Global Export Compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they are creating the future of export compliance. With extensive experience in export controls and trade compliance across several prominent companies, Alex has held various management roles at Amazon, Qualcomm, and Kyocera Communications, among others. They began their career in the export compliance field at A.F. Romero & Co., Inc. and further advanced their expertise at Capstan/Qiva and TradeBeam. Alex is also pursuing a degree in English at San Diego State University.
