Alistair McLean

Alistair McLean is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical business development and solutions architecture, currently serving as Principal Tech BD at Amazon Project Kuiper since January 2025, where strategic initiatives for a low Earth orbit satellite network are driven. Prior to this role, McLean spent nearly nine years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in various leadership positions, including Principal Technical BD for Aerospace & Satellite, overseeing significant business opportunities. McLean also held multiple roles at Morgan Stanley from 2010 to 2016, culminating in the Vice President Solutions Architect position, with a focus on regulatory reporting in the OTC Derivatives space. Earlier career experience includes system integration consulting at Trace Financial, RBS, and ING Investment Management. McLean obtained a Masters of Research in Bioinformatics and Medical Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow.
