Amina Shabbeer, PhD, is an Applied Science Manager at Amazon, currently overseeing a team focused on recommender systems and representation learning for music and podcasts. Amina has held roles as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and Manager of Applied Science at Amazon, and previously worked as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Research Aide at Argonne National Laboratory. Amina earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai and completed a PhD in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
