Amita M.

Amita M. is an accomplished professional in the field of natural language processing and artificial intelligence. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. and a Master's degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Amita has held significant roles at renowned organizations. Amita served as an NLP Lead Scientist at IBM Watson from June 2018 to July 2021, followed by the position of Applied Science Head in Generative AI and MultiModal Search at Amazon since July 2021, where Amita manages a team to innovate machine learning solutions. Additionally, Amita has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at UCSC, teaching courses on Generative AI. Previous experience includes internships at IBM Almaden Research Center and Nissan Research Center, as well as a lengthy tenure as an Assistant Professor at BCAS, Delhi University.
