Aparna Mathur

Aparna Mathur is a Senior Manager in Economics at Amazon and an alumna of the Harvard Kennedy School, where they served as a Senior Fellow from 2021 to 2023. They previously held the position of Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and were a Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. Aparna earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005, and their research has focused on income inequality, tax policy, and labor markets. An active contributor to policy discussions, they have testified before Congress and appeared on major media outlets, while also serving on various boards and councils in the economics field.
