Ari Perlman

Ari Perlman is an accomplished procurement and strategy professional with extensive experience in sourcing, cost reduction, and business optimization across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of New Business Unit Procurement at Amazon since April 2019, Ari leads a corporate source-to-pay team aimed at accelerating the growth and efficiency of Amazon’s business units and subsidiaries. Previously, as Chief Procurement Officer at TEGNA, Ari managed $600 million in spend while directly reporting to the CFO. Ari's career also includes senior roles at Deloitte, where strategic sourcing and analysis were a focus, and an investment banking position at Lehman Brothers. Ari holds an MBA in Finance and General Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BA in Economics and Biology from Emory University.
