Arshit Gupta

Arshit Gupta is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in applied science and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Manager in Applied Science at Amazon since October 2021, Arshit leads multiple science teams within the AWS Agentic AI organization, focusing on advancements in tool/function calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-modal systems, and improvements to generic large language models (LLMs). Previously, Arshit held roles as an Applied Science Manager, directing the Conversational AI team, and as a Senior Applied Scientist contributing to the AWS AI Lex chatbot. Arshit began a career at Carnegie Mellon University as a Graduate Research Assistant, predicting fMRI activity and enhancing model accuracy. Experience also includes a Research Internship at Technicolor, a Graduate Engineering Trainee position at Hero MotoCorp Ltd., and a Software Development Internship at ST-Ericsson. Arshit holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.
