Ashe McGovern

Ashe McGovern is the Head of Global LGBTQIA+ Affairs at Amazon, where they lead the companywide strategy to support LGBTQIA+ employees, customers, and communities around the world. Previously, Ashe served as the Senior Policy Advisor for LGBTQ Initiatives in the New York City Mayor's Office and was the inaugural Executive Director of the NYC Unity Project, managing a $15 million portfolio focusing on various LGBTQIA+ issues. Ashe earned a B.A. magna cum laude and a J.D. from Cornell University, receiving multiple accolades for their work in civil rights. Their experience includes leadership roles at organizations such as Family Equality and the Center for American Progress, along with contributions as a co-author of a significant publication on LGBTQ poverty and economic justice. Ashe has been featured in numerous media outlets, highlighting their influence in LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
