Austin Roberts

Austin Roberts is an accomplished mathematician with extensive experience in academia and industry. Holding a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Washington, Austin has served as a faculty member at institutions such as Highline College and Dartmoor School, focusing on teaching and research in combinatorics, optimization, and open-source education. In the industry, Austin worked as a Fundamental Researcher at 1QB Information Technologies, where efforts centered on optimizing complex problems at the hardware limits of modern computers. Austin also contributed to D-Wave Systems Inc. as a Senior Optimization Engineer and currently holds the position of Research Scientist II at Amazon. In addition to academic roles, Austin has served as the President of the Board of Directors for Balagan Theatre and delivered science education outreach through the Pacific Science Center.
