Baris Gecer, PhD, is a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon Studios & Prime Video. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Imperial College London in 2020, following a Master’s degree from Bilkent University and a Bachelor's from Hacettepe University. Their previous experiences include roles as a Research Intern at Meta and at the University of Groningen, as well as scientific positions that led to the filing of multiple patents in computer vision and deep learning at Facesoft. Additionally, Baris served as a Research/Teaching Assistant at Bilkent University, contributing to both academic instruction and research in the fields of computer vision and pattern recognition.
