Bei Chen

Bei Chen is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in statistical analysis and academic roles. Chen served as a MITACS research fellow at Automated Trading Group and TD Securities from October 2010 to January 2011, followed by a position as Assistant Professor at McMaster University from September 2011 to October 2012. Subsequently, Chen worked as a Research Staff Member and Master Inventor at IBM Research from November 2012 to June 2021, before taking on the role of Research Science Manager at Amazon in July 2021. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Mathematics in Statistics and Actuarial Science (2003-2007), a Master's degree in Mathematics (2007-2008), and a PhD in Statistics (2008-2011), all from the University of Waterloo.
