Brad Beale

VP, Worldwide Content Licensing, Prime Video at Amazon

Brad Beale is the Vice President of Worldwide Content Licensing for Prime Video at Amazon. Brad has over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.

Brad began their career in 1992 as the Sr VP of Product Development and New Media for DIRECTV. During their 11 years with the company, they were responsible for the launch of the DIRECTV satellite TV service and helped grow the company into one of the largest pay-TV providers in the world.

In 2004, Brad left DIRECTV to start their own company, Outperform Sports, LLC. Outperform Sports was a sports training facility that provided athletes with the latest in sports performance training. The company was successful for six years before Brad sold it in 2010.

After selling Outperform Sports, Brad took a position as Content Acquisition - FiOS & Over the Top Video Content with Frontier Communications. Brad was responsible for negotiating content agreements with various media companies, including Hulu, Disney/ABC, and Showtime. Brad also played a key role in the transition of three FiOS Video Systems from Verizon to Frontier.

In 2011, Brad left Frontier Communications to join Peel Technologies Inc as their Vice President of Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for business development with partners such as retailers (Apple Stores, Best Buy, Amazon), Network Operators (Comcast, DIRECTV), technology companies (TiVo, Samsung), and CE companies (TiVo, Samsung).

In 2016, Brad joined Amazon as their VP of Worldwide Content Acquisition for Prime Video. In this role, they are responsible for acquiring and licensing content for Amazon’s Prime Video service.

Brad Beale has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an MSEE from University of Southern California. Brad also has a BSEE from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
