Brian Refsdal is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and leadership roles across multiple companies. Starting as a software developer at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Brian contributed to numerical software for the Chandra X-ray Center. Subsequent positions included software engineering at SAY Media, where collaboration on a Django and SQLAlchemy web app occurred, and serving as a technical lead at Sensity Systems, where efforts focused on a scalable IoT platform. Brian advanced to Verizon as a principal software engineer, leading a team to build a Data Lake on AWS, and currently holds the position of technical lead/engineering manager at Amazon.
