Bruce Sherrod

Bruce Sherrod is a highly experienced software engineer with a robust background in technology leadership and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Amazon since July 2020, Bruce has previously held significant roles at prominent companies including Airbnb as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and Lyft as the Director of Engineering for DevOps. At Zynga, Bruce functioned as an Engineering Fellow and was a Divisional CTO responsible for technical outcomes for major games. Additionally, Bruce served as Chief Technical Officer at PlayFirst, Inc., where leadership in technology strategy and best practices in social gaming were emphasized. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
