Bryan Silverthorn

Bryan Silverthorn is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in applied science and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Director of Applied Science for AGI Autonomy at Amazon since July 2024, Bryan is focused on building the AGI SF Lab and training useful AI agents. Prior to this role, Bryan contributed as a Member of Technical Staff at Adept, a research team acquired by Amazon, from August 2023 to July 2024. Bryan's career also includes experience as a Member at South Park Commons and a significant tenure as co-founder and CTO at Angaza, where efforts centered on advancing global energy access through a successful SaaS fintech startup. Bryan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University and a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, where research involved optimization and natural language processing within neural networks.
