Cailong Hua is an accomplished researcher and data scientist with extensive experience in deep learning and data analysis. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from June 2020 to November 2025, Cailong designed an innovative physics-augmented deep learning model that significantly reduced processing times for single-molecule data and developed frameworks for analyzing unfolding behaviors and simulating force spectroscopy data. Cailong also automated experimental data analysis, cutting processing duration dramatically. A Data Scientist Intern at the University of Phoenix from May 2024 to August 2024, Cailong fine-tuned large language models and developed an interactive chatbot using Amazon Web Services. Currently, Cailong serves as an Applied Scientist at Amazon since October 2025. Cailong holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota, an MSc in Control Systems with Distinction from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Information and Engineering from Tongji University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
