Cheng Chen

Cheng Chen is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, specializing in the AWS Neuron Compiler, where they develop profiling tools for performance optimization on Trainium ML accelerators. Cheng has also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, focusing on FP8/FP4 quantization of Diffusion Models. Previously, they interned in various roles, including at the McGill Edge Intelligence Lab, where they worked on knowledge distillation and neural architecture search for BERT models, and at Reel FX, applying machine learning to render farm forecasting. Cheng holds a Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Honours Electrical Engineering from McGill University.
