Daniela Witten

Daniela Witten is an accomplished statistician and academic with extensive experience in higher education and industry. Currently serving as a Faculty Scholar at Amazon since October 2020, Witten has held various positions at the University of Washington, including Assistant Professor from September 2010 to July 2014, Associate Professor since September 2018, and Professor with roles as Associate Chair and Interim Chair. Witten also holds the Dorothy Gilford Endowed Chair in Mathematical Statistics. Witten obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biological Sciences, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics, all from Stanford University, where studies were completed between 2001 and 2010.
