David Brown

David Brown has extensive experience in software development and leadership, particularly in the cloud computing sector. From May 2012 to February 2018, David served as Vice President at Amazon, where leadership was provided to the Amazon EC2 team, focusing on secure and resizable compute capacity in the cloud. Prior roles at Amazon included Director of Software Development, where direction was given to the Elastic Load Balancing team, and Senior Software Development Manager, both emphasizing the enhancement of application availability and scalability. Earlier, from January 2002 to July 2007, David worked at Mosaic Software as a Software Development Manager, managing the Postilion Realtime Framework, and as a Software Developer, contributing to its development and maintenance. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with Honors in Computer Science from Nelson Mandela University.
