Debmalya Chakrabarty

Debmalya Chakrabarty is an experienced applied scientist with a robust background in electrical and computer engineering. At Amazon, Debmalya served as a Senior Applied Scientist from May 2018 to March 2022, contributing significantly to various projects, including roles as Applied Scientist II and Research Scientist II in Amazon Alexa Machine Learning. Prior to joining Amazon, Debmalya was a Graduate Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University from July 2012 to May 2018, specializing in Computational Auditory Scene Analysis and the temporal dynamics of auditory scenes using deep belief networks. Debmalya holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
