Dirk Bergemann is the Douglass and Marion Campbell Professor of Economics at Yale University and has secondary appointments as a Professor of Computer Science and a Professor of Finance. They earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and joined Yale in 1995 after serving on the faculty at Princeton University. Dirk currently directs the Center for Algorithms, Data, and Market Design at Yale and has been an Amazon Scholar from 2021 to 2023. They are a member of the Cowles Foundation and a fellow of prestigious organizations including the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Econometric Society. Dirk's research focuses on game theory, contract theory, venture capital, and market design, with recent work in dynamic mechanism design and pricing.
