Doug Simpson is an experienced leader in product development and entrepreneurship with a strong track record in creating and managing innovative technology companies. Currently serving as the Head of Product for New Initiatives at Amazon since May 2020, Doug focuses on building new multi-billion dollar businesses. Prior to Amazon, Doug has worked as an independent consultant, advising startups on product vision and fundraising, and was the CEO and Founder of Navdy, which developed the world’s first device to integrate smartphones into the driving experience. Doug's entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding SmartRoam, which created a top-grossing mobile app, and founding HawkEye Global, known for its portable multimedia device for children. Doug's previous corporate experience includes significant roles at HP, where strategic development of 3G mobile services led to substantial revenue growth. Doug holds a BS in Computer Science from DeVry University and multiple certificates from Stanford University in Financial Analysis & Strategy and Global Supply Chain Management.
