Eric Hurst

Eric Hurst is currently the Head of Utility Engagement and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) at Amazon, overseeing energy projects and infrastructure strategies across North America, Australia, and South America. Previously, they served as the Resiliency Director at Georgia Power Company, where they led a team to secure over $100M in funding for critical energy projects. Eric has extensive experience in business development, process optimization, and utility engagement, having held various leadership roles at companies like Duke Energy and Mississippi Power Company. They are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA in Finance at Georgia State University, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Fort Valley State University.
