Estelle Fortes

Estelle Fortes is a Senior Flight Director for Project Kuiper at Amazon, bringing extensive experience in flight software engineering and leadership in aerospace and defense projects. Prior to their current role, Estelle served as a Mission Flight Software Lead Engineer at Boeing Defense, Space & Security and led significant software initiatives at Boeing between 2017 and 2022. Estelle's prior experience includes internships at NASA and Jeppesen, along with a strong academic background, having earned a Master's degree in Applied Physics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Additionally, Estelle contributed to the aviation community as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Boeing Employees’ Flying Association.
