Farui Peng has a strong background in research and applied science, having started at General Motors as a Researcher from January 2016 to March 2018 and advancing to Senior Researcher until September 2022. Following this, Farui worked as a Sr. Computer Vision Engineer at Phantom AI from September 2022 to October 2025, focusing on multi-object tracking, knowledge distillation, and vision-based autonomous emergency braking algorithms. Currently, Farui serves as an Applied Scientist at both Amazon Lab126 and Amazon since October 2025. Farui holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, complementing an academic background from Illinois Institute of Technology.
