Gan Luan

Gan Luan is an experienced applied scientist with a strong background in statistical methods and machine learning. At the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Gan served as a Research Assistant, focusing on scalable statistical methods and spatial quantile regression. As a Statistical Consultant, automation of statistical analysis and visualization for a biomedical research lab was achieved using Python. A Biostatistician Intern at Celgene, Gan developed an R package for Bayesian models, greatly enhancing model performance. Most recently at Amazon, Gan played a pivotal role in developing multi-modal machine learning systems and an online domain-specific Q&A chatbot. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and dual PhDs from Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
