Gbolabo Ogunmakin

Gbolabo 'Tayo' Ogunmakin, PhD, is an Applied Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon, bringing over 10 years of experience in developing deep learning solutions for computer vision tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and keyword prediction. Tayo has previously held research positions at Morgan State University and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where significant contributions included developing algorithms for situational awareness and enhancing video processing techniques. They earned a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, following a Bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University.
