Heather Yang

Heather Yang possesses a diverse background in research and data science, highlighted by roles at prestigious organizations such as Amazon and AECOM. Experience includes serving as a Machine Learning Data Specialist and currently as a Machine Learning Data Lead at Amazon, where project management and collaboration with technical teams contributed to the successful launch of products. Previous internships span various sectors, including environmental advocacy with Greenpeace Southeast Asia and event organization with the Surfrider Foundation, along with academic roles such as a Peer Mentor in the Freshman Research Initiative. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
