Huan Qi

Huan Qi is a skilled applied scientist with significant experience in machine learning and data science, having worked at Amazon since February 2021. Initially, Huan held the role of Sr. Applied Scientist for Inspirational Shopping, where responsibilities included developing strategies for machine learning applications in personalization and launching a product recommendation solution utilizing BERT. Huan's prior role as Applied Scientist II in Fashion Science involved building recommendation systems, deep learning models for gender and age identification, and machine learning solutions for identifying fashion trends. Huan further contributed to fraud prevention as a Machine Learning Scientist II, overseeing advanced algorithms for marketplaces in Japan, China, and Mexico. Huan's educational background includes a PhD in Statistics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelor's degree in Math and Applied Math from Beijing Institute of Technology.
