Ilseo Kim

Ilseo Kim is a Principal Applied Scientist at Amazon since November 2024, specializing in personalization and shopping intent. Previously, Ilseo served as an Engineering Manager in Machine Learning at Meta from January 2020 to November 2024, leading teams in ads ranking and advertiser experience. Prior to that, Ilseo worked at Amazon from April 2014 to December 2019 as a Senior Software Development Engineer, developing machine-learning frameworks for product recommendations and advertisements. Ilseo's earlier career includes a role as a Research and Development Engineer at Kitware Inc., where research focused on machine learning and computer vision, as well as positions in electronic document management and software engineering at Tritontech and Thinkers. Ilseo holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
