Imre Kiss

Imre Kiss has extensive experience in applied research and leadership in the fields of speech and natural language processing, as well as machine learning. From May 2015 to October 2022, Imre served as Director of Applied Science at Amazon, where prior roles included Senior Manager and Machine Learning Manager within the Amazon Alexa Speech and ML group based in Cambridge, MA. Previous experience includes a position as Senior Speech Scientist at Vlingo and over a decade at Nokia Research Center in various roles culminating as Principal Member of Research Staff. Imre's academic credentials include a PhD in Information Technology from Tampere University of Technology and an MSc in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
