Jagdeep Sidhu is a Principal Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where they have contributed significantly to various database teams. Over their first decade at AWS, Jagdeep played a key role in launching the Aurora service in 2014 and led the development of RDS for MariaDB, culminating in its launch at reInvent 2015. With a strong focus on database replication and high availability, they have been instrumental in initiatives like RDS Blue/Green deployments. In addition to their database expertise, Jagdeep has a passion for API design and is actively involved in the AWS Analytics team since early 2024. Prior to AWS, they gained experience in natural language processing and app development. Jagdeep holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Humber College.
