James McQueen

James McQueen is a Principal Applied Scientist and Senior Manager at Amazon, where they oversee the Weblab team focused on large-scale experimentation to enhance customer experiences. They earned a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Washington, specializing in manifold learning, clustering, and time series analysis. Previously, James served as a Machine Learning Specialist at ModeSens and held various roles at the University of Washington, including Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. They have passed multiple actuarial exams and possess programming experience in several languages, including Python and R. In their leisure time, James enjoys reading, playing guitar, and skiing.
