Jerome Smith

Jerome Smith possesses extensive experience in public policy and community affairs, highlighted by a role as Senior Manager of External Affairs at Amazon from December 2020 to January 2022, and currently serving as Head of Community Affairs for the New England region. Prior to Amazon, Jerome served as Chief of Civic Engagement for the City of Boston from May 2014 to December 2020, advising the Mayor on political matters and managing a staff of 56. Previous positions include Chief of Staff for both MA Senate President Therese Murray and Boston City Councilor Michael Ross, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff & Legislative Director in the Boston Mayor’s Office, where responsibilities included overseeing policy agendas, budget management, and community engagement, particularly in relation to LGBTQ issues. Jerome holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Connecticut.
