Jess Scanlon

Jess Scanlon is a seasoned professional in architectural engineering with a strong focus on sustainability. Currently serving as a GREF Net Zero Carbon Sr. Program Manager at Amazon since June 2022, Jess previously held the position of Sustainability Engineer at BGIS @ Amazon from August 2021 to October 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Building Performance Specialist at PAE and a Lighting Designer at RNL. Jess has also contributed to nonprofit organizations, serving as Vice President for Engineers Without Borders at the University of Colorado and as Board Secretary for the Professional Division of Engineers Without Borders - Puget Sound. Additionally, Jess volunteered with Architecture for Humanity in 2010, conducting research for humanitarian design projects. Educationally, Jess obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and Tacoma Community College.
