Jian Gao is a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon AGI, where they build large language models. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University in 2020 and have extensive research interests, including human evaluation of LLMs, robust optimization, and speech processing. Jian has published over 15 papers and reviewed more than 200 papers for top journals and conferences. They are also a co-founder of Rhobust AI Corporation, which focuses on privacy protection through AI solutions. Additionally, Jian is a member of several professional organizations, including IEEE, and served as Area Chair for the Amazon Machine Learning Conference from 2021 to 2023.
