Jonathan Sauder

Jonathan Sauder is a hands-on mechanical engineer and product designer with a distinguished career in developing flight hardware for space missions at NASA-JPL. They lead the development of deployable spacecraft mechanisms and early-stage technology infusion efforts, contributing to missions targeting Earth orbit, Mars, and Jupiter. Currently, Jonathan serves as a Principal Spacecraft Engineer and an Affiliate Assistant Professor, while also mentoring engineers and students at multiple institutions. Jonathan has received significant recognition, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) and has been awarded multiple patents and research grants. Their extensive experience includes consulting for various organizations and publishing numerous journal papers across their field.
