Jooyoung Lee

Jooyoung Lee is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in applied science and research within the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. At Amazon, Jooyoung contributed to the AGI team as an Applied Scientist and completed an internship with the Alexa AI NLU team. Jooyoung held a position as a Visiting Student at the University of Cambridge, collaborating with Prof. Andreas Vlachos on deepfake text detection. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Penn State University, focusing on the reuse of training examples by large language models. A Data Scientist intern at Microsoft, Jooyoung developed machine learning models for detecting fraudulent users in multi-factor authentication calls. Jooyoung is currently pursuing a PhD in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Sookmyung Women's University.
