Karim Bouyarmane

Karim Bouyarmane is a Senior Manager of Applied Science at Amazon, where they manage teams focused on Large Language Models and multimodal AI projects. With over 16 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Karim previously held roles as a Senior Applied Scientist and Tech Lead at Amazon and worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Inria. They also contributed significantly to humanoid robotics research during their tenure at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan. Karim earned their PhD in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Montpellier and has taught various computer science and AI courses at several prestigious institutions.
